3. PACKAGING AND MARKING
3.1. Goods will be packed and marked as per Buyer’s request.
3.2. The present conditions are valid and opposable to all deliveries made by the producers. Further claims have to be settled on basis of the present technical standard as well as on samples and technical drawings approved by the Buyer.
2. TECHNICAL CONDITIONS
2.1. Shape, dimensions, capacity and weight of items are established on basis of the samples and technical drawings approved by the Buyer.
2.2. Specific features and defects:
a) Colour: colorless glass clear/clear; slight shades of blue are allowed. Different shades of same colour (min./max.) approved by the Buyer are allowed for colored glass.
b) Bubbles, which break when are pressed with a sharp metal point, are not allowed. Flies and small bubbles with a maximum dimension of 0.6 mm are allowed if not grouped. Maximum 3 bubbles, which do not break when are pressed with a sharp metal point, are allowed if not grouped.
c) Scratches are allowed on outside surface if not tangible. Circle scratches are also allowed on bottom of the item as well as signs from the cutting with a shear, or as otherwise approved by the Buyer as scratches. Outdistanced scratches are allowed.
d) Threads are allowed if not tangible and if they do not change the aspect of the item.
e) Quality of finishing: as per sample and drawing approved by the Buyer.
f) Stability of item: bottom of the item has to provide an adequate stability.
g) Verticality of the item: perceptible deviations are not allowed.
h) Tension: slight variations of colour against initial violet at Polari scope are allowed; a difference of max. 100mm/cm at Polari meter is allowed.
i) Resistance to thermal shock: cracks are not allowed.
j) Chemical stability against water: is according to grade 4 or to STAS 817/65 for household glassware.
k) Other defects – excepting the above-mentioned ones – are to be taken into consideration only on basis of samples approved by the Buyer.
l) Quality reception of items is made on lots established by mutual agreement and on basis of present regulations.
m) Statistical checking of quality is made per STAS 3160 corresponding to a quality level AQL = 2.5.
n) Ten pieces at random from a certain lot have to be checked up in order to establish the resistance to thermal shock and the inner tension.
